Cancelling does not cut you off immediately. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, so if you have decided not to renew you can cancel straight away without losing anything.
Membership benefits continue to the end of the period you already paid for — it does not stop immediately.
You can also cancel on the console: Settings → “Users and Accounts” → “Account” → “Payment and Subscriptions” → “Subscriptions”.
Turning off auto-renewal does not affect the current period.
