Refund Policy

Full refund within 30 days, no reason required. And there is nothing to cancel: the paid tier is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

1. Why the refund terms are this generous

LapseWatch exists to solve “I forgot to cancel and got charged”. If our own product were hard to cancel, or getting a refund meant an argument, the whole thing would contradict itself. Taiwanese law permits digital services to exclude the seven-day cooling-off period; we deliberately offer more than that.

2. There is no subscription to cancel

The LapseWatch paid tier is a one-time purchase. Once paid, there is no second charge and no expiry date.
You do not have to do anything to avoid a further charge, because there is not one — we create no recurring payment authorisation with ECPay.
If you stop wanting it, just stop using it. No need to tell us, and no charge follows.

3. Refund conditions

Within 30 days of purchase, full refund, no reason required.
There is only one paid plan, so there are no exceptions by plan.
After 30 days we no longer process refunds. Since nothing recurs, there is no “next period” you need to head off.
After a refund, paid features revert to the free tier. None of your reminder data is deleted and not one reminder stops firing — the number of reminders was never capped. A refund only affects the reminder timings and the advanced features.

4. How to request one

Email alan930604@gmail.com with the email address you paid with and the ECPay order number (it is in your payment confirmation email). We reply and file the request within 3 business days.

Refunds are processed by ECPay to the original payment method. When it actually lands depends on your card issuer, typically 7 to 14 business days.

5. Price changes

Once you have bought it, we will not charge you again. If we change the price later it does not affect people who already bought — there is no recurring charge to adjust and no expiry date to renew.

Price changes are recorded in the changelog (zh-Hant), stating the date and the old and new amounts.
