Cancelling does not cut you off immediately. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, so if you have decided not to renew you can cancel straight away without losing anything.
If you subscribed through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, you cannot cancel on the Spotify website — go back to where you signed up.
The same applies to carrier-billed or third-party subscriptions (some credit-card bundles, for example).
After cancelling, the account reverts to the free tier. Your playlists and saved library stay — nothing is deleted.
